This is the reality that Five Finger Death Punch pushes into the faces of on-lookers, a reality that has been tossed into homes like a live grenade, a reality that has been spread across airwaves like a virus, infecting every single member of the bands fan base causing them to stand up and rage in moshpits of mass proportions at every single venue the band performs at. This is the reality that I stood face to face with. Thursday in Orlando FL, a reality that spells out one thing and one thing only, metal as we know it has returned from its once thought shallow grave.

Walking into the sold out House of blues, never could I have fathomed the sheer organized chaos that I witnessed. The lights go dim, the crowd chants "Death Punch" over and over again, the stage lights come up, the band takes the stage and all hell brakes loose. Crushing rhythms, blinding drum lines, break-neck leads and of course front man, Ivan Moody, pulling this entire “musical assault” on your senses together with his brutal yet melodic vocal style that he takes and pounds into the face and down the throat of every person in his sight. These five men show no mercy and leave nothing standing in their wake and their Knuckle heads wouldn't have it any other way. With the first song of the set already people were pushing, shoving, moshing and thrashing. Until this show I have never seen a band cause people to react this way so quickly and equally never before have I seen a band push so hard for their fans.

For the first time in my life as writer, as a human being I was struck speechless and that’s all I'm going to tell you in this review. Sure, I could tell you every last detail that happened at that show, I could tell you all about 5FDP's stage display. Truth is I could tell you a lot of things, but, screw that. The only thing I'm going to tell you is this. 5FDP is an amazing band that you need to see live first hand. 5FDP is on the first ever Rockstar Mayhem Tour, that tour will most likely be in your city and you do need to be at that show as well as any other show 5FDP does in your city and you need to see,
hear and feel the true re-birth of metal for yourself. Everything else is just words.
