Bubbles & Sweat

The foam party at Club Code in Y'bor City Saturday night, hosted by Shady Bastards and Liquid Ice energy drink, may have marked the end of the summer season, but was proof things won’t be cooling down anytime soon. Hot tracks, cold drinks, and a slippery, lighter than air dance floor made the night an overall good time.

When the doors opened, a pool of fluffy, soapy bubbles was being pumped and blown onto the dance floor like an enormous bubble bath. While it was still early, people began to slide around in the foam, pushing friends under, or just wading around. Although pretty mellow at first, once a crowd started to trickle in and take advantage of free samples of Liquid Ice, things started to loosen up. More people jumped into the foam and started dancing. It was interesting to look down on it all from one of the balconies, watching everyone stand under the fans to be covered in fresh bubbles or see someone disappear underneath the top layer and reappear across the room. Eventually, though, it was time to dive in and go for it. It was a new experience to feel the cool tickle of the bubbles moving with every sway and shake. As the soap got shaken up from all the movement, the floor got soaked and a pool was created from the center of the floor to the walls of the club.

One great advantage to the party was the foam kept everyone cool, unlike the heat and sweat of a regular party, it was refreshing. Still, things heated up as a few tops came off and dancers walked around in everything from swimsuit tops to nothing. The more people who let go and went for the sudsy mass, the more relaxed fun everyone else had.

For those who preferred to remain dry, there were plenty of drinks and tables to just chill with friends, listen to the music, and watch the wet and wild mayhem. Whether you wanted to end the summer by splashing around one last time, or just reminiscing with close friends, this party made it possible.
