Let’s Get It On! UFC 71, May 26, 2007



Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell, returns to the octagon, to defend his
“Light Heavy Weight Title”. He is fighting, former Pride and,
current UFC fighter, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. These two
have met before in Pride Fighting Championships, and Quinton
“Rampage” Jackson came up with the victory, over the “Iceman”.
With the UFC announcing, last month that it has now officially
taken over all rights, and ownership of the, Pride Fighting
Organization, located in Japan, this will be the biggest fight yet,
in the war between the UFC fighters vs. Pride fighters.



There is much animosity between the two sides. Chuck Liddell
has a personal connection to this fight, in being Quinton “Rampage”
Jackson, is long time friend, and trains, with Tito Ortiz, who just
fought the “Iceman” a couple months back. “Rampage is the last
of three fighters to beat the “The Iceman”. Randy Couture and
Jeremy Horn, both had victory’s over Chuck Liddell. He has since
then had the rematch’s and came out with victories over both fighters.
“The Iceman” is the first person to ever knock out Randy Couture, but
this is the UFC and upsets, and underdogs are in season. Let’s see who
shows up.
